Identity

For my project 'Identity' I aimed to explore the the theme of family identity through a series of illustrations for a children's picturebook about a postwoman who is scared of dogs but who learns to overcome her fear through meeting many dog-owning families. The family memebers share key characteristics with their dogs, thus personifying them and making them more approachable. I had a lot of fun creating highly hyperbolised fashion and interior designs for each of the family's aesthetics. I was looking particularly at 1960s design as an inspiration for this project and I experimented with many analogue mediums such a watercolour, coloured pencil, chalk markers and collage before assembling all the elements digitally.
